Class Descriptions

Morning Glow (Rise & Shine)

Rise and shine with a beautiful sun salutation practice to welcome the day.  This class will focus on a series of sun salutations and seated stretches as well as a strong awareness to breath.  A gentle moving  class to welcome the new day and get you moving.  Our practice ends with a mindful meditation practice.

Gentle Flow (Beginner friendly)

Are you new to yoga?  Our gentle flow classes are sweet, calming flow classes that link basic yoga postures in a purposeful sequence.  This class is perfect for beginners but works equally well for anyone looking for a gentle alternative to a stronger flow class.  You'll always be given the opportunity to keep it mellow or make the poses more challenging with variations of the poses.  If you've never tried yoga this class is perfect for you and designed to meet the needs of those new to yoga.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa flow classes are the most popular style of yoga practice.  This  class will keep you moving with creative sequences linking sun salutations and standing postures and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness.  This class and its graceful dance will push you to the edge of your balance and flexibility and when you reach that sweet spot you begin to glide and float.  Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever exactly alike.

Flow & Stretch (Feel Good Yoga!)

This class will begin with an active flow, linking postures and sequences with breath, followed by glorious stretches.  Our stretching portion of this class invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia.  We will use as many props as needed to create as little effort possible while holding poses, which are typically held for 2 – 5 minutes allowing the joints and fascia to release.

Restore & Adore - Restorative/Meditation Practice

Unwind with passive, soothing, supported restorative poses to nourish the body and calm the mind.  Props support the body to help release tension and encourage the body's own healing power. During the class you will be guided to mindfully and consciously notice thoughts and sensations in your body.  Students leave feeling nourished, well rested and refreshed.

Private One-on-One Yoga Sessions (we are not taking privates right now due to COVID)

If you're finding a group class just a bit to intimidating?  Is the thought of a one-on-one more appealing?  A private session maybe be just what you're looking for.  Beginning yoga students can sometimes feel overwhelmed in a typical class, particularly during the first few classes.  It can seem difficult to keep up and personal flexibility might require a little work before it becomes easier to get into different poses.  Or the advanced student may want to work towards more strength and balancing poses, perhaps not available in a group class.  Private sessions offer the student the ability to focus on personal goals, concerns and interests, such as flexibility, strength or meditation and breath work.  Health issues or injuries can also make a yoga class impractical for some students.  In a private session the student and teacher collaborate on what's best for the student.  (All levels)

Hathat/Vinyasa yoga is a flowing, dynamic yoga practice that cultivates presence by connecting movement with breath.  Most classes feature sun salutations, standing poses and balance poses with focus on gaze point and guided by steady breath.  No two classes are ever the same.
